talentonparadeWOW!!!!!  What an AMAZING weekend!!!!  I am so proud of our dancers and the performances they gave this weekend.

Congratulations to Alvin for receiving another Choreography Award!  It is quite an achievement when there are 665 entries in a competition where only 7 choreography awards are given and we
received one of them.  We have received numerous choreography awards this season and in past seasons and that says a lot for our choreographers that their/our work stands out amongst hundreds of entries in a weekend.  Thank you to our amazing instructors and choreographers.

We had 26 entries amongst the 665 total entries of the weekend and 17 of our entries received high point placements and/or judges awards.  Once again, that is an amazing accomplishment.  This was also the first time I put most our entries in the top tier of three.  We were in there with the big name studios and we were able to place right in there with them.  I am so proud of our dancers!

I am also proud of the fact that our dancers have done an amazing job stepping up and filling in for our injured dancers.  If just goes to show that their great training and work ethic has enabled them to, at a moments notice, learn a new part, go on stage and perform it and make it look as if they have been doing it all season.  Hats off to you!!

I want to say thank you to all our parents that are always willing to step up and lend a helping hand with providing rides for my dancers, fixing costumes, making an Alfalfa sprout, helping with major water leaks in the storage rooms, etc.  I cannot possibly name all the examples of how you pull together and help out – I am truly blessed to have you – so a BIG THANK YOU to all!

Thank you to our prop helpers with your help loading and unloading the truck, moving props on and off stage, setting up props at rehearsals, etc.  A big thank you to Mike and Greg who had to travel to Hoffman Estates and then Hanover Park just to get us a truck for the weekend – they put in a lot of hours picking up the trucks and returning them and this last weekend was a huge ordeal in trying to achieve that!

We received several compliments from the Talent on Parade staff.  They were so impressed with our dances and said they were some of the most entertaining pieces they have seen this season.  They also commented on how nice and cooperative our dancers were – yeah dancers!

I will definitely do that competition again – it was such a great weekend of good dancing and choreography  – it was a pleasure to watch the other studios.

Thanks again for a GREAT weekend. GO ENVISION!!!!
