Put Dance in Our High Schools!
Dance is important in developing physical fitness, coordination, critical thinking and problem solving skills, and an appreciation for the arts. It is a welcome alternative for students who do not participate in team sports. Not only would a dance education benefit students, but it will also strengthen the district’s curriculum while making the curriculum offerings comparable to other school districts similar in size and academic achievement. Future plans for building renovations initially included a dance room to be used by physical education students as well as athletic and fine art extracurricular activities.
