Professional Choreographers Train Aspiring Students
Center Stage Dance Academy (CSDA – www.DanceAtCSDA.com) is pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for aspiring young performers to study with master instructors during a Summer Dance Intensive at their Huntley studio. Enrollment is open to the public.
The two-day program, which takes place August 13-14, will feature 10 hours of dance classes taught by renowned choreographers. Offering ballet, contemporary, lyrical, jazz, tap, hip hop, and modern workshops, students will enroll for one or both days to experience professional, focused training from highly accomplished guest faculty. Offering one of the most versatile curriculums in the Midwest, Center Stage’s Summer Intensive will help prepare students for success in today’s diverse world of dance.
“Intensive dance programs provide students with the opportunity to stretch their talent, expand their knowledge and understanding of various dance forms, deepen their passion for dance, broaden their understanding of what it means to be a dancer and give them insight into the world of professional dance,” said Artistic Director and Studio Owner Debbie Nowotnik.
Often summer intensive programs offered at various colleges and universities are out of reach due to travel and lodging expenses. By hosting such prestigious instructors right in her own studio, Nowotnik is able to provide her students with an opportunity they may not otherwise be able to experience. Guest staff will include Jacquie Renzetti, Robert Lewis, Amanda Anderson, Gil Mata, Bril Barrett, James (JC) Renzetti, Debbie Nannie, and Alvin Ramirez. For more committed performers, students will also have the opportunity to audition for Center Stage’s award-winning Envision Dance Company as part of the Intensive. Auditioning dancers will be numbered during the classes and observed over the two days. Actual auditions will follow on August 15-16 with dancers performing a short routine in groups of two.
