disney-christmasparadeCenter Stage Dance Academy (CSDA – www.danceatcsda.com) has been asked back to Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida for the second year in a row. Having performed at the resort’s Downtown Disney in November 2011, the studio made quite an impression on the right people and has made their way to the “A list”. This year’s trip will happen November 29th – December 2nd.

Center Stage Dance Academy’s competition team, Envision Dance Company, will have the esteemed honor or leading off a Main Street U.S.A. parade at the Magic Kingdom and participating in a showcase on the Premier Theatre Stage at Hollywood Studios. In addition to these performances, dancers will perform in the Holiday Spectacular Parade of which portions will be filmed for the ABC-TV Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade.

In 2011, the studio’s competition team was selected as part of the Disney Performing Arts program that allows bands, choirs, dancers, auxiliary teams and other groups a chance to showcase their talents in front of a Disney audience. Getting a real life experience, Center Stage performed eight numbers in various dance styles on the Waterside Stage in Downtown Disney. They were contacted by Disney executives to perform again this year and participate in the Holiday Spectacular festivities.

“The experience of getting to work with professional choreographers in a nationally recognized program is beyond amazing,” said Debbie Nowotnik, Center Stage’s Artistic Director. “The Disney program is highly respected and well known for its work ethic. Providing my students with the chance to learn different aspects of the business and giving them well deserved exposure makes this an opportunity we could not pass up.”

In addition to the Florida experience, Envision dancers have been invited to both New York and Paris in 2013 and 2014 respectively. In July 2013, Center Stage will showcase their choreography on one of Broadway’s most famous and historic stages, the New Amsterdam Theatre on 42nd Street, current home to the hit Broadway Musical, Mary Poppins. As part of the ultimate theatrical experience, dancers will tour Radio City Music Hall and have a dinner/dance cruise around the Statue of Liberty. In August 2014, the studio will participate in a Disney Paris parade and perform on the Castle Stage as well as on the Videopolis Stage. Additional performances in London are possible (details to be released at a later date).

“Disney World is truly the happiest place on earth,” said 14-year old Envision dancer Sydney Faler. “It was amazing to go to Florida last year and do what I love in such a magical place. It was incredible to be trained by the Disney staff and so fun to perform in Downtown Disney. I can’t wait to go back for another wonderful opportunity as part of the 2012 Holiday Dance Spectacular and Parade. I am so looking forward to Disney on Broadway next summer and Disney in Paris in 2014. The Disney experience is truly making my dreams come true!!”

In order to help fund the upcoming trips, Envision dancers will be looking for corporate sponsors. Team shirts will be made to be worn by both Envision members and parents. Shirts are worn to competitions, practices, local community events, and even to school and work! Center Stage is a reputable dance studio with quality staff members presenting a wonderful opportunity to advertise a business while showing support in the community.
