Center Stage will be offering 3 different competitive levels for next season. The weekly time commitment will start at 3 1/2-4 hours per week and go up from there. Please see Debbie for further details.
Auditions will be a combination of intensive classes and auditions. The dancers will be observed during class the first few days and then will audition on the 15th and 16th. If we need to do call backs, we will use the 17th. A detailed schedule will be posted on the website along with a registration deadline very soon.
Joining the competitive performance team offers your dedicated dancer an environment much different from our annual recital. Attending and participating in the area competitions provides the opportunity to build friendships, dance technique, and confidence along with stage-presence. The bonds and friendships are created not only among dancers as teammates, but among parents as they cheer for all team members. A feeling of family, team and pride emerge.
Our competitive season begins in September and runs through the beginning of July. We perform at various community events including the Huntley Fall Festival and in the District 158 Community Showcase. Additional performances may be added.
All dance groups are assembled based upon age and skill level of the dancers. The formation of the groups is at the discretion of the instructors as they are the most knowledgeable.
