What can I say……Another AMAZING weekend of competition!!!
I always tell the dancers to WOW me – and they did!! I am so very proud of our dancers and the performances they gave this weekend – I couldn’t have asked for more. There were 948 entries at Hall of Fame this weekend. Of our 26 entries, 17 placed in overall high scores (that is 65% of our dances) and we received 23 special awards – Unbelievable :).
Some of our dancers had an amazing debut into the American League and did so with beauty and grace – with our “Earth Song” piece receiving the MVP Award for all Junior entries in the American League – WOW!!
Just to put things in perspective….
- There were 71 junior soloists in the National League – our 4 junior soloists all received platinum awards and placed 7th, 5th and 4th overall.
- There were 66 Junior National small/large groups – our small groups took 5th, 4th, 2nd and our large group took 1st. We got best in Hip Hop and Jazz.
- There were 35 Junior Rookie small/large groups – our small group took 1st and our large group took 2nd.
- There were 39 Teen American League small/large groups – our small groups took 6th, 3rd and 2nd, our large group took 6th. Our small and large group got best in hip hop.
